Unitag allows you to create and customise a QR code for free.

Here I generated and played around with the different options to create this QR code and also add my own 'logo' to it. Once scanned, it will open up to my hotglue's start page.

Inkscape has some similarities with Adobe Illustrator so it wasn't all that new to me. But there are differences in the tools and the way it works overall especially trying to migrate from one software to another and comparing them is quite difficult.

The "pathfinder" option is a bit different and I struggled to simply make the circles merge together, but in the end it does fairly the same job. I encountered a few more hiccups here and their along the way but it was an educational experience of migrating and figuring out how I prefer tools to work and my workflow in general.

However, I am happy with the simple graphic I was able to produce with the software. It's capabilities match up well with that of a proprietary software. I would definitely recommend this to others especially for those who cannot afford the big price tag that comes with proprietary software.

To have a go at Inkscape, I wanted to create a simple image of a cute ice cream on a cone. As Inkscape is the OS counterpart of Adobe Illustrator, I wanted to test out the tools and actions I use and do most often which were pathfinder, aligning, adjusting nodes, etc.

< This is my initial sketch so I have an idea of what I want to achieve.
